AI Filmmaking

I hate to be the one to tell say this. Actually, I love saying It. AI Filmmaking Is not filmmaking. You're kidding yourself If you think you're one of us. You're not and you never will be. 

There's a lot that goes Into filmmaking. Building a team of creatives Is usually how It begins, and It's the best part. I'm not talking about the big budget films. When It comes to AI. On that level, It seems like It's just a way for corporations to save money. They don't care about people. I'm talking about the films being made at the Independent level. 

Location scouting, art department, shopping for props, building the production team, craft service, Grips, PA's, electricians, camera operators, casting, auditions, and all the other fun stuff that happens during pre-production. There's so much more, but you get the Idea. There's a huge team which Is what makes It awesome. 

I heard an AI "Filmmaker" say that It takes a lot of work to put together an AI film. It probably does. But you're not making a movie. You're using a program to make the movie for you. You're not an artist. You're playing with prompts. You're a poser. Sure, there are some AI tools that make the filmmaking process a little better. We all know what they are, and It's a slippery slope. 

This so-called filmmaker said It's a way for people to enter the Industry, and they shouldn't be shut out. Fine. What happens when AI starts making their own films, and cutting out people completely? It will happen. And when that day comes, I'll happily say, "I told you so. Now man up and buy a camera."
